The above post does provide the necessary principles of how to live properly in this world we live in. Heres a quote I have seen many times:

You are also right. Money does not always buy happiness but I must admit that money enables you to make many, many choices.
Family does certainly come first which to me is the foundation rock and nucleus to building a better society.

There was a part in a film American Gangster – about the showing off.

He wore a fur coat to a boxing match and brought the attention of the police as to who he was. Some good lessons in that film as well.
